OK Now my VNQT will dial the phone for me. I'm a happy person. I just had to do
it to see if it was possible and it is and works very easily and it's kind of
nice to know I can still take up a challenge and do something about it for
myself.

What I did was a simple google search for a touch tone sound generator. I took
the first one which happened to be a java script that could be better, but
which comes with its source code. I had to use it nose on screen with
magnifier, so will look for a better one that will work with numpad entry, but
this worked as an initial test.

OK I entered the digits for the phone number I wanted while recording "What You
Hear" from the computer. This made an mp3 file of the dialing of the phone
number. I then just named it the person whose number it was and saved it to my
storage cf disk for the voicenote. then with just a fuction-M and a couple
clicks to the file name and I could hold the phone next to the speaker and dial
the number. And it worked just fine.

The file was saved as a phone mono quality file so it takes up very little
space.

If there are others on the list who would want to use this method, I'll work
harder to make it more accessible and simpler to do so. If I"m just doing it
for myself, I can do it as I am presently.

This is important for me because with my short term memory loss I cannot hear a
number or read it and remember long enough to dial. And with my loss of
sensation in my fingertips, I often misdial, an it's quite awkward to go
number by number from a file entering it into the phone as I go and not get
messed up. For others this may seem totally unnecessary.
