Hi Kathlene, Your question is a fair one. For most situations using the BN, 512 MB is probably enough storage. If, however, you plan to store files created on your PC, then the 80 GB drive is well worth it. I store important files such as my tax returns, Quicken financial management files, etc. on this drive. These are filres I could never recreate if they were lost. Also, even if I store them on a flash card, which I also do, I like the security of storing files on more than one drive, which will reduce the chance of data loss should a medium go bad.
