Hello list,
A friend of mine received his m-power 32 BT two weeks ago. While reading
the manual and typing in examples that were set forth in the manual, his
unit locked up. He performed the usual resets, both 1 2 3 and 4 5 6 as
well as the standard reset. His M-power seems to be dead to the world
whether it is plugged into the AC adapter or not! The machine seems to be
dead to the world no matter what he tries. I suggested he try pressing the
record button and the reset button and see whether that would wake it
up. Interestingly enough, his sighted father cannot see any symbols or
lettering which would show where any of the controls are located. Needless
to say, the record button reset wasn't done when I was on the phone with
him. He needs to have it for college by Monday! The outlet he used was a
good outlet. A radio he has works in that same outlet. He had it plugged
in for quite a while so technically the battery should be charged! What
next anyone?
It is my understanding that MSN.com won't work with an M-power since one
needs to use their software in order to use their site efficiently! This
would be true with AOL. I mentioned this during our phone
conversation! Has something changed at MSN.com where a Braille Note of any
kind would work on their site?
