I'm tring to figure out how much room I have where. I don't want to make the same mistake twice and lose all my email that I have sorted into files and the like.
I have discovered that email you sort into all the nice organized files you create is not separate from that which shows up in the Recieved and Sent files so you can't erase one of those main file folders without erasing them all so that's not a good way to save space. So then I looked on the different disks and in folders and directories trying to find where these email directories are located so I can tell if there's enough room just to leave my mail there or if I"m going to have to move it somewhere else. Well, I find keymail files for the mail database on both the system disk which would be a silly place to put mail as it would all be lost with a jkl reset. Then I also find such a folder and file on the flash disk where it's nice and safe and cozy, but where there's only about 4 mb of space left to store stuff in. since I'm prety positive that's where all my stuff is stored like my word processing and mp3 files, that 4 MB is gonna fill up fast. I am trying to get a mini drive tha t works but as I said, but one I bought doesn't cut it, so I"m still shopping. I have a 64 MB CF card that might not be a bad place for email to live except that it will be in and out so I'd really rather move the email to the GB storage device I end up with. But can I do that or can the mail database only live in one place. If it can only live in one place, where is that so I can arrange things to give it the most room? Also I have a file on my 64 MB CF card that is named something like k611.0something26.BIN I have no idea what this is or why it's there, but if I don't need it I could use the space for storage for the time being. Any clues?
