One other thing you can try is to let your battery go completely flat, then
recharge it fully. When my Braille display started acting squirrelly, this is
what I did to get through those three months before I could send it in for
repair. Sometimes draining and recharging the batteries didn't help, but
sometimes it did. Good luck!

Subject: [Braillenote] Frustration with mybrailleNote

  Hi Everyone,

Apologies in aadvance if I don't catch all my mistakes, even with spell
checker.
I now have to use my BrailleNote's speech much more than the Braille display.
It's gotten to the point that I only dine use it for Math and some occasional
light reading. Everything else, like e-mail, I have to use the spech for. I
am really frustrated with this! I don't know what caused the display to start
going faint and then disapearing. It's been doing it for a bit, I guess, not
sure how long. I'm hoping I can make it last till December, otherwise I am in
deep trouble.
Any suggestions on any stopgap measures or things I can do to keep it going
for now? Anything at all???
  Jane
