Yes, you can do this on the BN. You can set up your options for eight dot computer Braille, or six-dot. You'll be making a good choice, because you'll have so much functionality.

Good luck, and kind regards.

Hi, Rhonda,

I'm new to this list, and am trying to decide whether to
attempt to sell
my current notetaker and buy an mPower. I have a braille Lite,
and the dot 7
is a shift key for computer braille. To type an at sign, I just
hold down
the Shift key with dot 4. I'm curious: is this something that
cannot be done
on the BN?

   Thanks.

Hi, Terry:

The basic reason for the U-chord is that you cannot do a
shift-lowercase two to have it convert to an "at" sign. You
cannot add the dot six with it, because it would make it a
number
eight.
