Hi, all

A very odd thing happened while recalibrating for a second time. I'd left
the machine to its own devices as instructed both on this list and by the
manual, but when I checked on its progress after some hours, the unit had
completely frozen (apart from a strange clicking sound which I think was
made by the display which read "I'm talking until my") and I was forced to
reset to unfreeze it. Naturally, I had turned speech off when the process
started some nine hours before, but when the thing was locked, speech had
somehow been turned off!

after the reset, I entered support information mode and pressed C and got a
figure of 888. Then I pres D and got 998. I then pressed E (to see what
would happen) and it went on about voltage being critical. However, my
gauge told me it was 100%. However, that can't have been right, as I've
restarted the calibration process and it claims it's doing an initial
charge.

I'd really appreciate some expert thoughts on this one. Of course, I may
have caused the whole problem by halting the process after only one cycle
when I tried recalibrating for the first time last week. I hadn't known
(even after reading the manual) that the unit might need several cycles
until calibration is completed until Jonathan's mail of about 24 hours ago.

Thanks in advance of any help. It would certainly be appreciated. I don't
want to have to send the thing in as although I have an embosser now, I'm
trying to hold out plugging it in at home as work is supposed to be getting
me a fully-equipped office on their premises, and I don't really have the
room here now.

TIA

Kylee
