Hi all,

Hang on, folks. Hang on. As one who has often written in email
things which sounded harsh, and were not meant to be so in my own
mind, let's step back and see just what's going on here.

>From what I gather, having skimmed the thread, a young man wants to
exchange his BN for an MPower. He has a laptop and the rehab people
want him to justify his request.

This is a reasonable request on the part of rehab cuz they are in
control of the money bags. So, here are some questions which the
student should be asking himself before writing an essay to justify
the transplant.

1. How is he doing with accessing the materials he needs to process
now? Is his current equipment up to the tasks which are being
    asked of them.

2. Is this equipment significantly old or outdated, making it
difficult to use modern files or storage devices?

3. Is his equipment compatible with the school's network, and if he
received an MPower, would that condition change?

4. if his current Humanware product is indeed a voicenote, would
having a BrailleNote Mpower increase his Braille literacy skills?

These are the types of questions which would be asked by a computer
trainer who evaluated him, as well as taking a look at how efficient
he was with the equipment he has now.
