The more I hear about your problem, the more I am thinking, (and hoping), that
your card is defective, and that there is nothing wrong with your VN. I sent
another message to the list from an online vender who has pretty good prices on
these cards, should you or anyone else want to replace one.

Yes, there seems to be a power problem both with the power up switch which
occasionally does nothing when I turn it on, and with the fc adapter slot be it
holding the wireless modem thingy or my GPS card at which time it says it can't
find the map I know is there. I although in the case of the GPS files, I just
have to try a few times an dit finds them. I am suspicious that the fc wireless
has some sort of a circuit breaker that resets on reset of the unit because of
something the power to that card does differently, butI do't have specs or
anything to varify this. I can wiggle the card and the VNQT jumps from feature
o feature. Sounds like there's a short somewhere. Or maybe two somewheres. If
they don't answer here I gues I"m going to have to hunt up someone by phone and
hope they are answering this week. Might be time to be glad I paid the $200
extra for this unit's service contract.
