Hi Katie:

Let me follow your steps. You went up on the NLS site. You found a magazine, and wanted to download it. That part I didn't hear you say was this: Were you ever asked "download in to which Folder? Then, were you asked for a file name? I may have missed that part, but if you just pressed S chord, you probably didn't download it. I've not done magazines, but with books, you have to do the S chord at the http. I probably should look up magazines before posting.

Subject: [Braillenote] handling NLS web braille files with the
mPower

Hi everyone:

Tonight I tried to save a magazine to my mPower which I received
via web braille through NLS. However, when I pressed s chord, and gave it a name and saved it, when I opened it, the BRF file had been turned into text, and was all messed up. So I tried again, but I tried to use back space with x after the s chord, and saving the file as an HTML was my only option.

So, what I did was just mark the beginning and end of the issue,
using the block commands menu, and pasted those into keyword. I must comment here on how wonderfully the mPower handled this process... it copied about 100 pages instantaneously... unlike the classic!

But, my question is how do those of you who use web braille
handle this issue if you do not wish, or are not able, to stay connected to the net while reading?

Thanks as always!

Katie
