Yes, any size of SD card will work for storage in the MPower. The
smaller one is just for the upgrade because something about a bug
preventing programs from loading into the MPower from a 1 gb card.
I have a sandisk card reader I think but not sure if it matters. They
are cheap enough that I've found having one to be well worth it.
