This is Joseph. If you look closely at Windows folder
on KeySoft System Disk, you'll see approximately 250+
files listed in the folder. This is because Windows CE
4.2 uses Windows folder to store operating system
specific files e.g. programs, help documentation,
device drivers, etc. The index.dat file can only be
erased when you reset your unit sith dots 4-5-6, and
it'll be re-created once you start KeyWeb. When you
download books from Internet using KeyWeb, you'll
notice that the file is saved in Temp folder. It is
because KeyWeb uses Internet Explorer 6 for Windows CE
for it's engine. What it does (I observed it on my PC)
is that when you download files, Internet Explorer
will first download the file to a temporary directory
(in this case Temp folder) and when the download is
completed, IE will copy the file from Temp folder to
the intended destination (in this case, Flash Disk).
Windows CE 4.2 in KeySoft 6.x is a bit larger then
Windows CE 2.12 used in KeySoft 5.x because Windows CE
4.2 has a lot of device drivers and graphic files
(Windows CE is a graphical operating system). You
don't have to worry that much. (technical note: the
processor used in Classic is slower than processor
used in PK and mPower. Also, the processor type is
different in these machines.) I hope this information
may help you.
p.s. You can use Ethernet cards to browse Internet.
