The ambicom card will only work with Keysoft 6.1.1 or later. It won't work
with 5.1. If you have 6.1.1 and the card is still not recognized, the card
itself could be intermintent, the pins aren't matching up right or who
knows what else might be the problem. Usually one must put the ambicom
card into the slot either side slot with adapter or in the back slot and do
a reset with the unit. It should then be recognized at that time. I'd try
both side and back slots to see if you can get the card recognized in that
classic unit.

I know of two people that has a card that can't be recognized.
The amazing part, one of them is the AMBICOM cf 1100 2. In reading
Roger's message, I see he mentions the mPower, but this list doesn't
mention that they work with the classic BrailleNote/VoiceNote. i may not
be reading correctly:
"comthe following are supported and tested wireless cards that will work
with a
BrailleNote mPower:
Table with 2 columns and 4 rows
1. Ambicom WL1100C-CF revision 2 only (serial number WL2342XXXXXXXX)
2. SanDisk Connect Plus CF WiFi plus 128MB Memory card
3. Socket Card Low Power Wireless LAN type I CF card
4. Linksys CF card -- Model WCF 12
Network Ethernet cf cards
Socket communications: cf rugged low pwr eth (cf plus rstlp)"
