Hello!

The 18 cell display is centered on the pannel which holds the dots in place.
The 32 cell display takes up the entire pannel but I don't consider it heavier
than the 18 cell display. My wife has the 18 cell display on her unit and I
the 32.

>Subject: [Braillenote] physical difference between BN 18 and BN 32

>Hi All,

>Yes, I know I've asked about this before; however, once I made the decision to
>purchase the PK, I didn't think much about it. But, now what with the mPower
>and likely some features of it that just won't be in the PK, my interest is
>once again peaked, although I do plan to keep my PK. Guess I've kind of given
>up my original idea of purchasing a used VoiceNote. Although, as of yesterday
>at least, there were some pretty good deals on classic units on the Sendero
>Group web site.

>So, my question is what the physical differences are down at the bottom of the
>BN where the two different Braille displays are attached? I'm not interested
>in the difference in reading with the two units but, rather, how they actually
>look. Does the BN 18 kind of round off at the bottom, seeing as there is no
>need for more Braille cells? And, does the Braille display of the BN 32 kind
>of extend out on either side of the unit to accommodate the larger display?

>Not wanting to have a unit undergo the often fate of my other note taker
>because of the extra weight, I'm leaning more toward the 18 cell display, but
>would still appreciate any info anyone can give.

>Thanks.
