Hello Sam,

To bring this back to basics, it would be good to know the IP address of the
PC, the router and the BrailleNote. Are you using DHCP?

Can you ping the PC from the Braillenote? This is done from the
options/connectivity/active connection details menu and pressing enter on
the test current connection option.

Based on customer experiences, I would recommend that you also make the
account name different from the network name.

Subject: [Braillenote] Joining the BrailleNote to the Network

> Hello,
>
> I am running into some confusion as to how to get my BrailleNote onto the
network. So far, I have run the network setup wizard and enabled file and
printer sharing. I've assigned a workgroup name for my computer. This
should take care of everything on the PC end.
>
> I then go to the BN and type my computer name into the server prompt. I
get the response "cannot find the network resource." Upon examining My
Network Places from the PC, I don't see the BrailleNote listed.
>
> So how do I get the BN to join the workgroup so the PC can see it, and
vice versa?
