Carol, I don't know about the mPower, but the BrailleNote Classic does have
the serial number on the bottom of the unit. Of course if it lives in its
case like mine does, that doesn't help. <grin>

I wasn't made aware of our serial number and just came across it by
chance, I think when I was carrying out a battery recalibration.
Alternatively this sort of documentation, together with information
about the warrantee and available SMA information should be given in
readable format. We have received none of these in Braille and I keep
forgetting to ask friends to check the print.
