If you know the filename, you could use the star and period as wildcards.
For example, if the book you wanted to delete was called fun and the
volumes were labeled as vol1 vol2 etc., you could select "erase file" and at
the filename prompt type, "funvol*.*" without the quotes. When it asks you
if you want to confirm each file, make the choice and proceed.

Subject: [Braillenote] selecting multiple items in a list
Hi,
i've been meaning to ask if there is a way to select several items in a
list. For instance, I just finished reading a web braille book in four
volumes. i want to delete this book now. From the list of files, do I have
to do backspace dots 1, 4, for each one individually to delete them, or is
there a way to select them all and delete them all at once. For example, if
I wanted to delete these same files on the PC, i could use shift down arrow
to highlight all four, then hit the delete key, and presto, they are gone.
