I took a chance and tried the Service Reset that Don described and the
m'Power came back to life. It looks good.
I do not want to give negative impressions about the m'Power; so I want the
list to know that the problem seems to be solved.

Thanks.

Terri,

You can do this service reset and it won't hurt a thing. When the unit is
dead in the way you describe, this is what humanware recommends. As with
other
resets, there is no loss of data.

The symptoms you describe are exactly those which can be corrected with the
service reset, including even the reset by itself not working at all. But,
the
combination of the record button and reset should do it for you.

If you feel more comfortable talking to humanware first, that's certainly
the best way to go.

Just trying to save you a phone call and probably either a wait on hold or a
wait for callback.

Don, Christopher, and Joseph,
Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I really appreciate your help. I will
wait to talk to Humanware tomorrow before doing anything, but I'll bet they
have me do just what you suggested.
Thanks again.
Terrie
