I learned it a little differently. Take the Fahrenheit number, like 212.
Subtract 32. Divide by 9. Multiply by 5. You get 100C. To get the
Fahrenheit from a Centigrade number: divide by 5, multiply by 9 add 32.

Subject: [Braillenote] fahrenheit

: Hi all,
:
: OK, Jose. Here's how.
:
: 1. get into the calculator from the main menu with s.
:
: 2. type your fahrenheit number, say 75. You don't have to use
: nemeth, just regular numbers, and don't use the number sign. The
: calculator program assumes you mean numbers.
:
: 3. press the minus sign, dots 3-6.
:
: 4. write the number 32.
:
: 5. press enter. This will give you the number for the next
: calculation.
:
: 6. type the divide sign or slash, dots 3-4.
:
: 7. Type the number 1.8, here, you must use the decimal point dots
: 4-6. So type 1.8.
:
: 8. Now hit enter.
:
: 9. Voila! one calculation. My BN classic says 23.88889 or if you
: round it off 24 C.
:
:
: Just reverse the process to convert from C back to F.
