Hi, Chuck and List:
If you want to copy addresses to another address list file,
at the KeyList Menu, select "Copy addresses". You will see "Copy
addresses to a document or address list?" Press A. You'll be
asked for a folder name and file name. Select an existing
address list. If you need to select a different drive or folder,
press Ctrl D. There are two options here: either the source and
destination files have the same number of fields and field names,
or there are differences.
The first option is when you copy records to a file with an
identical structure. You'll be prompted that all fields match.
You'll be asked if you want to review the field mapping list. If
you press N, you will be at the selection list where you can
select the required records you need.
If the source and destinations are different, you see how many
field names match, and again be asked if you want to review the
field mapping list. If you press N, fields are only coppied
where fields match in the destination file.
If you press Y, each field in the source file is mapped to the
destination file. You'll be presented with a field mapping list
containing pairs of field names.
From the Main Menu, press A.
Press C.
You will see, "Copy addresses to a document or address
list?" You can copy to a KeyWord document, or to another list
file used by KeyList or KeyMail.
To copy to a document, press D, and you'll see prompts for a
destination folder name and document name. Select an existing
Braille or text document, or create one. When you have entered
document name, you'll be prompted for a "template name." This
determines formatting on the page. Offered templates are Braille
or text. After choosing the template type, press Enter. You
will be placed in the KeyList lookup function prompt: "Select
list of address Notebook". If you want to copy every record,
press Enter.
After looking at your question again, I don't think I answered
you. If you didn't create a "database," I don't think your setup
options will work. If I didn't help, I'll be glad to try again.
