Hello: I'e have some of your answers:
About the MPower: 1. Will my Spanish software transfer over, or will you guys make new multilingual software for the Mpower? I need the multilingual software, its vital. A version of the Spanish software will work, but there is another beta tester on this list who can give more info along with Humanware. I do know that it was tested. 2. VR just bought me GPS for my BN, if I transfer my display, will the GPS also transfer/? They won't buy it again. The GPS is related to your serial number and not related to your Braille display but, you would have to talk to Sendero and they've promissed us more information sometime next week. 3. What is an SD card and how is it different from the microdriver and compactflash cards? An SD card or secure data card is a very small memory card that's just a bit bigger than a postage stamp and about as thick as a credit card. It can hold incredible amounts of data, I've worked with cards holding up to 1gb. 4. Can I hook up the archos MP3 player to the MPower? I don't know about the Archos .mp3 player, but I have my Archos portable hard disk hooked up right now and it is working great. More space than I'll use in a while. If your using it as an mp3 player, I don't know. If you're using it as storage, it probably is compatible, though I don't think we've tested that configuration. I think the Hard disk drive does use the same drivers though. 5. Can the Mpower play audible files? No, not yet, but we're hoping 6. Do I use the ambicom card to get wireless on the Mpower? Yes, that is the same configuration I use and it works great. I very rarely hook up a wired Ethernet connection any more. 7. Can I hook the display to the computer wirelessly, as well as activesink wirelessly? No on the display, and yes on ActiveSync 8. If I can't update, how long till the BN is obsolete? Jonathan and Humanware have committed to continuing to support the current BrailleNote/VoiceNote technology. They've said that they will continue to release software for that platform. Obviously, software that's designed for the upgraded hardware wouldn't work like BlueTooth hth Jeff
