Hey Paul, not much experience with the d-link, but the key is to tell active
sync to look on the com port that your Bluetooth device is on.
On mine, I use com7. Activesync defaults back to com1 constantly.

Properties of the d-link under device manager or device settings should give
you the com port info.
Once you get the notetaker and the pc paired, you can connect with active
sync to transfer files and use your computers internet connection to connect
to the net or check email.
Just make a new internet connection using ethernet as the device to use for
connecting.
that didn't make any sense to me at first, but it worked.

When you do the pairing, initiate it from the braillenote side. The PC
should respond by asking you if you want this device to connect, and ask you
to enter a password or pen.

Good luck with it. Bluetooth is pretty awesome. I use it all the time when
I'm teaching. I walk around the room connected to the internet looking at
the pages the kids are looking at on their pc's.

Dan

Subject: [Braillenote] help with bluetooth

Hi, glist. I am using a D-link bluetooth adapter. I would be interested in
corresponding with anyone who has gotten this working between ttheir
MPower and their pc. I have not had any ssuccess with active sync nor with
internet using bluetooth, yet I understand it is possible.
Any suggestions would be helpful, especially if you are using a d-link
bluetooth.
Thanks.
