Yes, I did explore the translation options. But aren't they used only for actual file translations when changing formats or importing or exporting documents? I wouldn't think they would take effect for straight text input.

I haven't actually tried your obvious suggestion of manually entering the two spaces for the start of a paragraph. If that's the fix, then I'll feel pretty stupid. Smile.

But I did try setting the layout option of first line to two indents at the top of the document, but that didn't fix the problem either. I'll let you know what happens later today when I have a chance to try the manual insertion of two spaces.

Jean, I looked in the File Translation Menu. I'm talking about the Ascii section. You can set up your forward and back translation. I wish someone would talk about this, but it seems like this is where you'd want to make your settings.
