Leslie; When the card is in the card reader, you can transfer data from the computer to the card or from the card to the computer. If you put data on a card, you can put it in the braille note and then be able to read it with the braille note. The card reader is a means of transfering data or any kind of imformation back and forth between braille note and computer. Hope you understand. Terry Powers
