Hi, Sue,

You might be able to preserve some formatting, like centering text and font styles, if you first translate your file into KeyWord text and then exported the text document to Word. But many of the codes are not recognized or preserved. These include page numbering, automatic indents, styles like lines, outline, and hard page breaks. Double line space may be preserved if you first translate the document into .kwt before exporting it.

I don't know about Keysoft 6.11 or the MP, but documents exported as Word are really rich text format and not Word. This is quite annoying to me, and I hope HumanWare will get Keysoft to export Word documents as true Word and not rtf.

Subject: [Braillenote] format issues when creating a document

Good Monday Evening,

I have some formatting issues. Recently I wrote several papers on the BN using braille. The teacher requested double space for some. I went to the format menu and chose the line spacing and indent features I wanted to apply to the document. Since I need to upload these to the professor I need to change them to word format. When I export the file as a word document, I loose all the formatting. I then open it in word and reformat. Is there a way to set format on the BN and have it remain intact when changing to word format? Thanks.

Sue Mangis
