Well happily, Richard all files were backed up and I sent the bn in for a
new keyboard and they put the 6.11 upgrade on the machine but you will see
per my last message that I got the problem solved and am up and running
again. A couple of jkl resets did the trick.

Do you have any back ups of those files?
What was wrong with your machine when you sent it in?
I hope it wasn't a flash disk issue.
