As is always noted when discussions of this sort come up, speech preference
is a personal thing. But I really dislike Dectalk. Its one of the
phonemically least accurate speech engines out there in my view, and it has 
the disadvantage that there is only an English version. As much as I don't
like eloquence, one of the things in its favor is that there are many
languages for it, so that folks wishing to use a language other than English

would be able to do that, at least in theory, if Humanware went that way. My
personal favorite is Doubletalk, but it has only one other language and I
haven't a clue how good it sSpanish is.
