As I think has already been covered in recent messages, you don't need to do anything on the PC, after putting your CD files onto it. This can be done in a number of ways. Many people use CDex, which is a free CD ripping programme. Just put it in your favourite search engine and you'll come up with it. However, it is available from the jfwlite page.
Once you've got your files, you can transfer them to the BN, and then create the playlist in the same folder where you locate the files. This will eliminate the need to state the file path. I think that's probably the easiest way. Just follow the instructions for creating a playlist in the manual.
