Sharon, welcome to the group. I just got my PK a little over a month ago and
love it. I have not found it hard to learn at all. I can't compare it to
anything else because I haven't used another device other than the old type
and speak and braille and speak. I can get several days off one battery
charge, but of course, that depends on what I'm doing. If I'm doing e-mail
or transferring files, then it's less time. Some on this group said they've
had their batteries four to five years and still haven't had to replace
them.

Subject: [Braillenote] Hello,

Hi,

My name is Sharon Bowell and I am new to this list.

I am thinking, or rather hoping, to get a braillenote PK.
I have seen a demo of one and was very impressed.

I just wondered how some of you experienced users out there find them. Are
they as good as the demo seemed to be. Are they reliable, and do they have
a good battery life.

Also, are they very hard to learn.

Thanks in advance.

Sharon
