Hi All,

Well, here is the latest experience with my mPower BT32 and battery issues.
I used it off and on over the last few days, and mostly without any type of
wireless or Bluetooth connection, only using the wireless connection to
backup and synchronize files a couple of times.

Anyway, just starting from Thursday night when I turned off the unit, it
showed me a percentage remaining of 58%, which was the same reading I was
given when I turned on the unit last night. So, I did a few things with the
unit for an hour or so, nothing with wireless then, though, and the battery
showed 55% when I turned it off. And, once again, when I got up this
morning and turned on the unit, it still showed that same 55% battery charge
remaining.

So, for about an hour and a half, I did some things with the unit, including
changing some of my planner entries, editing a file, and then wirelessly
synchronizing everything with my PC. And, by then, my battery level had
dropped to 42%.

I next started reading a book, leaving the speech rate and volume at its
default rate, as well as having the Braille display turned on. The battery,
upon my checking every so often, seemed to drop a percentage maybe every
couple of minutes.

Then, after I had just checked maybe a minute before and heard thirty-seven
percent, I got a battery low message. And, upon checking the percentage, it
had dropped to eight percent. I kept reading the book, but hurriedly went
and got my AC adapter.

When I next checked the battery status, which couldn't have been more than a
minute and a half after I heard the eight percent, the status was still
given as eight percent. And, upon going into support information mode and
hitting the
letter c, the nominal available charge was given as 128.

Then, I started reading with the speech again, but the speech then just
stopped, although the text of the book was still on the Braille display.
So, I checked again and was given the eight percent remaining, and thus
started reading again. And, when the speech next stopped within less than
a minutes time, the Braille display then went with all the dots slightly up
like when
the unit is turned off. I didn't get another battery low warning, and
certainly didn't get a battery critical message.

I next plugged in the AC adapter; and, although the Braille display still
stayed in that just described off position, the speech started reading the
book again. And, I checked the battery level and it showed zero but with
the AC adapter on. I then hit the far right thumb key (never
can keep their names straight) with the spacebar and the BN both spoke and
displayed Braille off. So, I hit that same keystroke again, and this time
it displayed and spoke Braille on, and the display performed as normal.

Finally, and much to my delight, after I did a regular reset, I was able to
put in my wireless card and sync with my PC, as my ActiveSync partnership
had not been deleted with the battery going to zero.
