Hello list.
Yesterday I went to Costco and purchased two SanDisk CruzerLock 2 Thumb
Drives. The BN M-power tells me I have 954.16 MB free, disk size is
976.13 MB for what it is worth to anyone. I did put some audio files on
it and it appears I only scratched the surface (grin smile)! I'm told
this is suppose to be a one gig thumb drive. I'm not complaining! My two
very small 31 meg flash cards show up as either 30.43 MB or 30.47 MB. My
128 meg card is showing up as 122 mb or so disk space so may need to
reformat it one of these days on a PC. Not certain if I formatted that
one with the M20 or what happened for sure! Just something more to add to
the discussion!
The Thumb drive worked right out of the blister pack (yuck for blister
packs)! It came with a long rist strap or something that looks like one.
It has little caps which fit over the ends to protect the USB plug I
guess. When I plug it into the M-power, the unit speaks hard disk ready.
When I take the drive out, the M-power voices hard disk removed. I'll
probably read or listen to some files from this drive but I think it will
be used mainly as a transfer drive. It was 20 dollars cheaper than a 1
gig compact flash card. I tried a half gig thumb drive which belonged to
a friend and that worked well. It too was Sandisk. I'd say SanDisk is a
safe bet for those kind of drives.
I have had problems with one of my ambicom network cards so I'll see how
the Sandisk Wy fi card works. This should be interesting!
