These questions are really for the HumanWare staff however some might be
interested.

1. how necessary is battery calibration? I have never had to do mine yet
some folks seem to be worrying about it all the time.
2. when the info on batteries was written we were using nickel cad
batteries. the rules for battery care have changed we no longer need to
discharge them to increase life in fact more frequent charges extend the
life and constant discharging shortens the life. Could we please have a
statement on this.
3. has HumanWare taken adequate care to ensure no overcharging? It is in
fact possible to ruin a battery by over charging as per the notes on a
lot of cell phones.
4. what is the polarity voltage and current draw of the BN. family? I
have seen several messages on this list about buying off the shelf
products and my concern is that if you don't know what you are doing
people could in fact ruin the product would HumanWare honour the
warrantee in that case.
