Hotmail does not need a "program downloaded into it". Its protocol just needs to be written into key mail as the pop protocol was. Its vary simple. Again, the manual is misleading, cause it says "most of the (popular) protocols" and I believe http and imap are vary popular. (and the pop and SMTP protocols are actually "one" type of mail protocol so.........)Especially if this device was written for the "professionals". Now, don't get me wrong, I love my pk, it's the best thing since well, since my first Braille lite m40 witch later became.....well that's another post but yes its ground braking technology and I wouldn't trade my beautiful little pk for anything else.

Yes, we can get a hotmail account, but it requires another isp to go with it, just as yahoo does. If it's a program that can be manually set up, it's a useable program. > ----- Original Message ----- >From: gabe vega using pk <[EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: [email protected] >Date: Wed, 22 Jun 2005 04:46:01 -0800 >Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Please Help with Hotmail Account >i understand that, but the manual specifically says "key mail supports most popular email protocols" but it only supports pop. i think this is misleading and should be changed. i still believe http and imap should be supported in the near future for those of us who use these types on a daily bases. >___ >To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to >[EMAIL PROTECTED] >To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit >http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
