Yes, thanks. I'll get started tomorrow.
I did see something indicating that the braillenote had to be reset whenever
I placed the wirelesscard into it. is this true?

Hi Denise,

I didn't see your previous post, but maybe I just missed it.

If you have a home network set up already you do need to set up a wireless
connection using the braillenote.

The best way to do this is to inser the wireless card, go into the options
menu, then the connectivity menu, and finally into wireless. The bn says
something
like activeed no, so key in y to activate the card. You will almost
immediately see the wireless menu.

Go to scan for networks and hit enter.

After a few seconds you should get a list of the networks found which
probably will only consist of your own home network.

Press enter and at the prompt give the configuration a name meaningful to
you.

Probably all the other settings can be accepted at their default values
unless you happen to have wep enabled. If you do, you will need to change
the "wep
no" prompt to "yes and then you'll be asked for the wep key which must be
entered exactly as it is on your router.

If you don't have wep enabled, then just leave that setting at "no".

Finally, save the configuration which has just been created.

When you go back into the wireless menu again you will see "connect using
existing configurations" or something very similar. Press enter on that and
you
should connect.

When you do email or access the web on the bn, you will be asked which
connection you want to use, so if you want to use your wireless connection,
just
select that one. If it's the only one or if you only use that one, it will
be selected by default so all you have to do is hit enter.

I hope this answers your question. If not, try again. <smile>

Don
