Hi Rhonda Maybe I can explain this better.
When I was first getting Active Sinc up and running, it attempted to sinc stuff when I wasn't prepared for it to do that. I got a message on the PC of Sinchronization successful or something like that. I'm not sure which items were still checked on the PC end of things to sinc at that point. It was using an automated setting so went ahead and did it once the connection was established. I hadn't installed Keysinc off the CD, only the Active Sinc program.
So then I go to the BN and look under some of the folders. I hadn't spent really any time exploring them before other than for files I had specifically created, the manuals, etc. So, for example, now I see things like the following: Main Menu, F for file manager, directory, drive, keysoft system, then the list of folders on the KeySoft system disk.
On the Keysoft system drive, I have the following folders: application data, books, documents and settings, downloads, manual, printers, program files, synchronized files, and temp.
I know some of those folders are correct as I remember seeing them before, but some I just don't remember being there. The temp folder and the documents and settings folder appear to be empty, but I don't know if the BN might have hidden files or something.
I'm wondering if the PC copied over some blank directory names or something in preparation for a sinc that wasn't completed. Is that possible? .
So, is there a way to have KeySoft erase the Keysoft stuff and reinstall only what should be there? Get rid of the junk and start over?
Under the Flash disk, I have the folder names of dictionaries, downloads, general, keylist, keymail, keyplan, my books, my favorites, and my memos.
Jean
