You don't have to exit the document to do a save. No!
I use the control S at least 6 times per session and often times I don't exit a document which is my jourmal. Yes, I have had times when things have been lost but no you don't have to exit a document to save it. Just be careful and exit the document if you have to do resets or do the control S hit enter then a y and it is saved. ----- Original Message ----- From: "slerythema" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Did anyone ever answer this question?

I am a writer and while I don't mind doing a control-s I do mind having
to exit the document in order to do a save.

Subject: [Braillenote] saving files in progress

I'm wondering why, technically, this might have happened. I was
creating a lengthy document in KeyWord, and pressing space-S
periodically to save my work as I went. However, at one
point my mPower
locked up and I had to press the reset button. Then to my horror, I
discovered that my saves using space with S hadn't saved my
file, and it
resumed at the last point where I had used space with E to exit the
KeyWord application.

So, my question is what is the point of saving with space-S if it
doesn't really save the work in case of a lock up or other disaster?

Now I'm exiting the KeyWord as the means of saving my work. I don't
like losing two hours of productivity.

Thoughts or insights on this?

Jean
