Hi Pam, If you don't want to share all your files over the network there is another way that my brother set up for me. I don't know how he did it but he has set up so everyone on our network can access only one folder on my computer and if I want to share files with someone else then I just move it to that folder. This might be a harder way to go but if you don't want the rest of the family to access all your files it might be something you could look at.
Hope this helps, >From Shaz. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Don Bishop" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2005 7:46 AM Subject: Re: [Braillenote] file sharing Hi Pam, Actually, when you connect to the pc, you're only connecting to a specific machine. As for file sharing, the only time you could conceivably loose data is if the machine that crashed were accesssing your machine or vice versa, and that is most unlikely. Also, when you access your network and a pc in this way, the pc cannot access the braillenote, all communication has to come from the MPower end of things. Don't know about the drive you mentioned in another, but if it connects to your pc via usb, it just might work with the MPower. You certainly won't hurt anything to try it.
