I leave my card in the pk too and in the back of the mpower.
On my classic, I used toleave the flash card in when gps 1 was out but it is the microdrives with their moving parts which gave my classic heartburn.

With the PK, I always leave my card in. Apparently you can't leave the cards
in certain models?

Hi Nicole,

I haven't seen anyone respond to your problems, so I'll give it a shot.

It is a good idea to take your card out of the bn when you shut it off. You don't have to remove it from the adapter, just take it out adapter and all.
Sometimes, if
you leave the card in the unit and turn it off and then back on again, it
can get a bit confused and may even lock up on rare occasions. Also,
sometimes it can
increase battery drain which means you may need to recharge the battery more
frequently.

As to resetting too much, it won't hurt anything in the unit. You do need
to be sure you've saved all yoour documents and other data before you reset,
but you
probably already know that.

The main problem with resetting quite often is the inconvenience of having
to do it. Removing your card from the machine will probably reduce the need
for
resets.

I hope this helps.

Don
