Hi KC,
The site I was downloading books from is part of Project Gutenberg which
has had free downloadable books in files since its inception. I believe
most of the books no longer have a copyright. I'd say Ann Parsons could
tell you more about Project Gutenberg than I can. I'd say the way files
are in Project Gutenberg are similar to the site where I was,
www.blackmask.com. One would go onto this site, search for a book that one
is interested in and locate it in what was found in the search. Click on
the desired book, find the "read in HTML Link and press enter. The book is
right there. Bob Mates and I went into the block commands menu and placed
the top of block at the beginning of the book and the bottom of block at
the end of the book. We then would copy this block to the clipboard. This
takes out the HTML garbage. I then would go off line and create a document
with the appropriate book name. I'd go into the new document and paste the
clipboard which is the text of the book. I usually make a text document
when creating the document. From here, I could save it to any other file
type as a .brf file or Braille Document Keyword type. Before doing that I
translate the text into braille with the M-power and have my unit create a
different file for my Keyword document. This may sound difficult at first
but it is very simple to do once one catches on. I'm still learning how to
browze documents on the gutenberg sites.
You might look around and see what you see and ask anyone on the list what
you should do next. I'd at least try to become somewhat familiar with the
gutenberg site or the blackmask site. They also have a newsletter which I
haven't read yet which may have some insight on how things work there.

Hi Jim,
Since I am in the process of changing over the messages from the BN List,
I appear to have missed something.
First, what is the site you used?
Second, what you describe sounds pretty complicated. Is there a way to
download from this Site to a compact flash card, as Do wiTH Bookshare
and Web Braille?
