I believe that the reason the FM radio is part of this release is, that the hardware that would make it possible is already onboard the mPower, and therefore all that was required in order to Make it happen was to write a software "tuner" if you will. I am also looking forward to a Daisy book reader, and making the device audible ready would also be nice, but Daisy will simply add to the Braillenote's ability to be the ultimate student companion. And, the competition already has that feature, both the Braille Sense and the Pac Mate (although Freedom Scientific makes you pay for it) I must say, however, that the mPower has come so far and I think the future looks good. However, one of the problems that always seems to happen in marketing is that bug fixes do not look as glamorous and sexy as hot new features. Accordingly, it is not uncommon for software developers to release products that have new features, and old long-standing bugs. This is not a phenomenon that is limited to the blindness field at all.

I get so sick of headsets at work, that I can't bear anything on my head and ears at home! But then, personally, I'd rather be able to read books from audible than either radio or daisy. I think a lot of people will enjoy the radio and a lot of others will enjoy the daisy when it comes. little by little, we're all getting a lot of things we want. A lot more than my BN had when I first got it in 2000. I have so many radios, I can listen and work, too. My two cents. ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
