Buds don't een fit in my ears, and I find them uncomfortable. Plus, I find regular headphones are just easier to listen to. They block out external sound sufficiently to hear what your'e listening to, but not so much so that you can't hear anything around you.

Hi, all

As a broadcaster and fledgling engineer, I would advise against using bud
headphones, as these condense the sound and will ultimately damage your
ears. I was given this advice when at Broadcasting School by an engineer
from radio New Zealand and have always heeded it. Over-the-ear types are
far to be preferred. I have a couple of sonny sets which work adequately.

Cheers

Kylee

I have a pair of cheap Sony over the ear headphones that I use with
walkman players, but the BN doesn't drive them well. You have to crank
the volume way up to get an acceptable audio level through them. I find
that the BN works best with bud headphones, like the ones included, or
the ones that came with by Creative Labs Muvo MP3 player.
