This definitely goes under the category of "don't try this at home". Just
because it worked for me, doesn't mean someone else might not have problems,
so please don't consider the following to be any kind of suggestion. It's
merely my own experience.

When I got my mPower transplant, I didn't know about the instruction to let
it charge for three hours before using it, and was obviously too excited and
impatient to read the instructions that came in the box. I plugged it in
and started using it immediately. There were *NO* ill affects. My battery
appears to be functioning perfectly, and the unit did not exhibit any
sluggishness, crashes, or any other unwanted behavior while I was using it
that first time. On the whole, I have found that the mPower requires
significantly fewer resets than did the classic unit.

Again, the above were my particular findings. I would always recommend
following any instructions HW sends along with their units. I only posted
this because I wanted to let you know that there is one person out here who
used the mPower straight out of the box, after plugging it in of course,
without mishap.

Hi all,
I'm so excited. My vnqt mPOWER will be here on Thursday. I have a
question. Someone on the list a while back said that it is necessary to
charge the unit for three hours when you receive it. Can you use the unit
while it is charging or is it best to wait until it is fully charged?
Thanks,
Stacey and Amigo
