I wish I knew how the pk was set up for sure. I'm doing a little guessing here, but here it is. First, look in the Manual folder of your Flash Disk using the File Manager Directory option (so that you can view "hidden" files, which will be the disexe files kept there). When you're in the "List of Files" of the Manual folder, hit SPACE with X to get to the "List of All, including Hidden" files. Look to see what files are in there. The only two files which should be in that folder, are called bnb.exe and usbnb.exe so if there are any others (like ones whose names start with UK or VN, or which say Q instead of B), erase them, then exit and do a simple Reset. Check to see if your User Guide is there. Also check to see if you have the right version (go to the Index, and hit V). If that didn't work, or if you only had the two aforementioned .exe files when you looked in the Manual folder of the Flash Disk, run the bnb.exe and usbnb.exe files from the Utilities Menu Application Program option. Make sure to run them in that order (first bnb and then usbnb. 1) From the Main Menu, press U for the Utilities Menu, then A for "Application Program". 2) At the "Run program from which drive?" prompt, press F to select the Flash Disk. 3) At the "Run program from which directory?" prompt, press SPACE with T to get into "Folder List" mode. Once in "Folder List" mode, type "manual" (without the quotes). Alternatively, you can hit SPACE once to get into a list of folders on the Flash Disk, press M to get to the folders starting with that letter, and move down the list until you land on "manual". Either way, once you've typed it in or navigated to it, press ENTER to accept. 4) At the "Program Name?" prompt, SPACE through the list until you reach bnb.exe and press ENTER to accept. 5) Leave the "Command Line?" prompt blank, and follow all subsequent prompts. 6) Once installation of that file is complete, repeat steps 1-5. However, in step 4, choose usbnb.exe second file's there to determine which version of the Scientific Calculator chapter (chapter 8) you will have (in your case, you have the one which lists symbols and numbers in terms of Nemeth, used in the U.S.)). 7) Again, while running the second file, leave the "Command Line?" field blank, and follow all subsequent prompts. Once you're back up and running, check to see if your User Guide is there. It should be since these executables install the manual. Also, hit BACKSPACE with ENTER with H for the User Guide, and press I for the Index, followed by V for "Version". ar----- Original Message ----- >From: dan kysor <[EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: [email protected] >Date: Sun, 19 Jun 2005 20:09:51 -0700 >Subject: [Braillenote] online manual
