Compatibility mode makes the BrailleNote behave more like a Blazie
notetaker. For instance, space with B is backspace instead of taking you
into the block commands. I think it was put in there to help with what I
call Blazie Syndrome--people who switched from a Braille Lite to a
BrailleNote and got tired of ending up in the block menu when all they
wanted was to back space.
