Yes, your answer was just fine. I think I can work through the manual
connectivity stuff, it was just understanding what XP has on that end.
Now I know what I need to get to make the XP side work. No, we don't
have a home network set up at this time.

I may be wrong, but I get the feeling you may not have a computer
network set up at the present time.
What I mean is that xp has built-in network capabilities and is ready
to connect to network hardware such as a router. If you don't have a
router, a wireless
card for the MPower won't do you any good in connecting to your home
pc. It will work fine if you are somewhere within the range of a
wireless network
such as airports, starbucks, and other public places.
Assuming you don't have a home network, you can still connect to your
pc and transfer files to and from the MPower by installing the
Activesync program
onto your pc.
Once you get this set up, the best way to connect is by using a usb
cable between your pc and MPower. You can then transfer files to and
from the
MPower by using the keyboard of your pc.
There's quite a bit of information on this in the MPower manual, and
there are several steps to setting this all up, but won't go into them
now as you did ask a
somewhat general question and I don't want to bore you with a bunch of
details which you may not be interested in.
But, it really is quite easy to set things up to transfer files and do
other things whether or not you have a home network. This is one of
the really great points
in favor of the MPower.
