The Ambicom card is still available at:

www.pagecomputers.com

as well as at other online merchants.

Subject: [Braillenote] wireless cards for mPower

I'm back on the list for a bit.

I still haven't purchased a wireless card for my mPower, but my dealer
tells me that the Ambicom card is no longer available. Does this mean
that the only card now supported is the Sandisk?

I won't pretend to know anything technical here, but I do find it odd
that a brand new device should have such hardware restrictions. It
seems that the mPower is now dependent on whether a third-party card
remains in the market. If not, then where do we go?

I saw a message in the archives where Dean said he would be compiling
resource info for the mPower. This is long overdue and I wish it had
been available on the website as the new machine hit the market. It's
very frustrating trying to figure out what third-party cards, etc. will
work and are recommended. I know everyone keeps saying what works with
the older BrailleNote products, but it's hard to find anything specified
for the new technology. And as I said, now that I hear Ambicom is not
supplying the Ambicom card everyone recommends, what next?

Jean
