viamobilephone

Hi all,

I have a question: if I have high speed internet, DSL, can I connect the
Mpower to it directly, or will I need to learn about dial up?

Subject: [Braillenote] Problems connecting my PK to the internet via
mobilephone

Hi all, and to start with apologies for the UK focus on this one.
Recently I changed Mobile Phone providers from Orange to Vodafone. When
with Orange I used to very easily connect to the net with my PK linking
to my Nokia 6630 via Bluetooth. With Orange you used the username
orangeinternet and a blank password. Now with Voda using the identical
Voda version of the 6630 with the prescribed username of web and
password of web the following happens.
1. Dialling
2. Connected
3. logon onto network
4. log on successful
Then straight away
5. Disconnected

I don't think the problem is the modem because whenever I try a modem
initialisation string the PK simply wont find the port.

My suspicion although not at all founded is that the PK is sending more
than the three letters to the server, I think this because even though I
enter the password as web when I review the connection settings the
password field report itself as having 5 characters.

So any help or ideas on this one would be great, anyone in the UK using
Vodafone successfully and if so how?

Thanks a lot everyone.
