I tried a "warm" reset (with the button) a couple of times but "no go".
I didn't fancy doing the others so I thought I'd leave it until I'd used
another CF card and then look again - just in case!

Hi Carol.
I have the same issue with my PK and the only way I can make the newly
created or renamed folder be seen by the PK is by doing the most minimum
reset. This appears to re-initialise the file structure on the card.
Don't know if the same rule applies to the MPower?

Cheers!

Subject: [Braillenote] A LITTLE PERPLEXED . . ..

Hi All,

Today I played with the memo feature (later to be put to good use), had
a sneaky listen to some audio, then did a little more file management.
It was then that I discovered something a bit odd . . ..

I took the CF card from the BrailleNote and slipped it into a Braille
Lite as I needed to check something quickly. I then decided to rename a
(top
layer) folder. On returning it to the BrailleNote I found that this
folder wasn't exactly recognized. The old name was still being read
but, when I tried to rename it, just to see if it really wasn't there, I
was told the folder that I wanted in the first place did exist, but I
can't find it anywhere on the card using the Braille Note, though it
shows up very promptly at the beginning of a folder list on BLT.

All other files and folders, whether created on the BLT or on computer,
show up perfectly - so what gives?

Guess I won't be losing any sleep over this one! <SMILE>
