Terri,
I have your same problem. It is hard to let the BN go so I can get the
recorder fixed. Maybe I can send it in and get 7.0 as well (grin smile)!

My recorder doesn't sound very good, either. When I asked HumanWare tech
support whether or not I should send it in, the girl didn't know. If I
send it in, it'll be after the holidays. I just hate to let it go and I
have a year's warranty.

Subject: [Braillenote] Good news and bad news.
Hello all,
I tried sending this last night but I'll modify it with the latest
information.
A friend of mine just got his M-power through Rehab. His ambicom card
won't connect! It just says new visible network. It may connect on
occasion but it won't stay connected. He since has reset his wireless
router and his M-power connected. When he phoned, he was listening to
streaming audio. That certainly was great news. When things weren't
working, I told him to get a PCMCIA to compact flash adapter and try the
network card in the side slot. Otherwise, I told him he'd be better off
with the Sandisk Wy Fi card Humanware recommends. I then had him check
the memo recorder and he is getting the wax paper sounding recording as
well. I said to him he needs to have his unit sent in immediately to
have that problem repaired under warranty. How sad! He has looked
forward to getting his BN M-power and encountered two major problems
right off the top! He might get the Ambicom card to work in the side slot
with the proper adapter but the memo recorder has that board which needs
to be replaced! I hope these problems can be taken care of quickly so he
can get on with using his M-power.
Luckily, the Ambicom card decided to work but he'll need to decide what
he wants to do about the memo recorder. He had his unit up and running
with a few simple instructions from me! Maybe he'll join the list one
day, who knows?
