I found the list of major improvements in 7 on the humanware website without much searching. I don't think it talks about the bug fixes and minor changes that were made, though, which would be nice to find.
I would like a little bit to be changed in the keysoft software when it comes to file handling, but in case it gives you perspective, many operating systems for small devices don't use file association in conjunction with a document centric approach as most personal computer operating systems do. An extra level of menu would be required because you never know wether something should be opened in the word processor or the book reader. There is also the limiting factor of the number of key combinations available. I think the company's reason for making and leaving it the way it is was simplicity, however. I can tell that some people need this simplicity, but I believe choices are always good. :-) On the other hand, you get used to the system with experience and learn how to get things one efficiently with the tools available. Hopefully this will include file association with applications - how hard can that be? and some rationalisation of the folder/directory views. I am new to the BrailleNote family and to Keysoft and I have been trying to grit my teeth about the design of the software but I have to say hardware is good but software is pretty bad for something that has been around for a while as I understand it. I am sure that many users will now reply to say that they have no problems with the way it all hangs together and I am sure you can get used to anythi8ng in time like learning to walk on my hands but I would rather walk on my feet like everybody else.
